We want to make your Back To Dance shopping experience the best we can! Please read through the following information to make everyone’s experience as smooth as possible!
We are SEVERLY short staffed. We have 1 employee working 90% of the time. Please be prepared to wait. Saturdays are the busiest day of the week so you can expect to wait to be helped on Saturdays. It is usually slower on weekdays between 2 and 4 if you’re trying to avoid a huge crowd.
*Due to the staffing situation, we will NOT be answering the phone during business hours. You can leave a voicemail and we will call you back before opening the next day. To help things move along more quickly for everyone, please come prepared with your studio’s uniform list. We will ask you the following when you get here…
- Where do you dance?
- What kind of shoes do you need?
- Do you need a specific brand/style number?
- What color of shoes do you need?
If you’re not sure exactly what you need, please check with your studio! Each studio has different requirements. Each studio also has different requirements for leotards and tights so please check to see if you need anything specific before you arrive!
It gets EXTREMELY crowded in the store so if possible, please only bring the dancer(s) and one chaperone.
If you need a pointe shoe fitting, we HIGHLY recommend booking a pointe shoe fitting appointment. If you are just starting ballet, you do not need pointe shoes. (You will need ballet shoes which DO NOT need an appointment.) Appointment slots are filling up fast so please book yours ASAP. You can book your pointe shoe fitting HERE. Appointments take priority over walk-in’s.
DO NOT BOOK A POINTE SHOE FITTING APPOINTMENT IF YOU DO NOT NEED POINTE SHOES. If you book a pointe shoe fitting for any other shoes, you will be charged the $50 no-show fee as you are taking a slot from someone who actually needs the appointment.
In-Store Shopping Information:
During busy times, if you need to purchase shoes, you will sign in at the front. Do NOT help yourself with shoes. If there is a wait, you can shop for leotards and other clothing items or you can leave the store, but stay close by! We will text you when it is your turn and you have 2 minutes to arrive back to be helped with shoes. If you do not show up in 2 minutes, we will move on to the next customer and you can sign in again when you do get back.
When you try on clothing items, please put unwanted merchandise on the go-back rack located at the back by the checkout counter. Do NOT put merchandise away yourself.
